Dancing Stars of Wilkes-Barre

Join us for another epic night of dancing to support arts education for children in our area. Ten local celebrities and their partners will dance at the seventh annual “Dancing Stars of Wilkes-Barre” benefit on Saturday, March 29. This exciting event is modeled after the popular ABC hit television show, “Dancing with the Stars.” Local Wilkes-Barre ‘celebrities’ are paired with professional dancers to compete for three coveted trophies, the Kid’s Choice, the People’s Choice and the Judges Choice Mirror Ball Trophies.

Attendees are invited to come early (doors open at 5 p.m.) for appetizers that are included with the ticket, cash bar, and basket raffle. The dancing begins at 7 p.m.

ABOUT KISS THEATRE COMPANY

This event will benefit KISS Theatre Company, a 501 (C) 3 non-profit children’s educational theatre and enrichment program that strives to create a safe space for all children ages 4 thru 12th grade, regardless of race, gender, creed, mental or physical disability, and/or LGBTQ+ status. Students gain lifelong educational values such as teamwork, empathy, responsibility, community service, and creativity through the study and performance of theatrical arts including, but not limited to, drama, music, dance, technical theatre and design. At KISS Theatre company, children learn the importance of teamwork; they learn the value of their own unique talents and gifts, while witnessing the unique talents and gifts of other children. They learn in an environment of acceptance, free of pressure. KISS children often return for additional workshops and form new friendships with like-minded peers. Most importantly, these children grow up and are thankful their hometown provided them with such a positive and productive environment.
