You can buy tickets to any event through our box office or at Ticketmaster.com. You can also visit our box office in person or call us at 570-826-1100.

The F.M. Kirby Center Box Office and Ticketmaster.com are the only two official ticket outlets for our venue. Any tickets bought through a third party aren’t guaranteed entry and aren’t eligible for refunds or exchanges. The F.M. Kirby Center assumes no responsibility for the legitimacy of tickets purchased through a third party. Make sure you’re buying safely and responsibly.

Our Box Office cannot resolve any issues involving third-party sellers, such as lost tickets or bogus tickets.

You might come across social media posts that say the poster has excess tickets or bought tickets and can longer attend an event. These posts are usually illegitimate.

Here are some tips you can use to spot a potential scam:

  • Check their profile and URL and search their username.
    • Often, the name in the URL will be vastly different from the name on their profile.
    • Their profile may also be very new or lack important details like a general geographic location. Their geographic location may also be quite far away. Why would someone in San Francisco have seats to a show in Wilkes-Barre, PA?
  • Illegitimate ticket offers will often not say how many tickets they have or how much they want for them. They’ll tell you to “name your price” because they just want your money. Real people will tell you straight up because, if they truly can’t attend an event, they just want to recoup their money.
  • A scam post may use unusual, unnatural, or vague language.

Remember: For your safety, always buy directly from the F.M. Kirby Center Box Office or Ticketmaster.com.

Tickets for events at the F.M. Kirby Center are final sale transactions and no refunds or exchanges are allowed.

If an event is postponed or canceled, please refer to the corresponding postponement/cancellation announcement for your options as a ticket holder.

Most shows feature a presale that’s available to F.M. Kirby Center members. Learn more on the membership page on the Kirby Center website. Members help support programs like our Young People’s Theater Series, an annual set of shows that provides thousands of school-aged children with enriching and educational experiences at the theater.

Unless otherwise noted, all events at our theater are considered all ages. However, please be aware of any content warnings displayed on event pages and use your own discretion when bringing children to an event. The F.M. Kirby Center is not responsible for incidental consumption of inappropriate content.

For most shows and events at the F.M. Kirby Center, guests aged two and above are required to have a ticket, unless otherwise stated. However, certain tours may have different age restrictions. For details regarding the age limit of a specific show, please contact the F.M. Kirby Box Office at 570-826-1100 during regular business hours.

Most of our main auditorium events feature assigned seating. In fact, that’s our default seating configuration. We do have some events that are general admission. GA events will be noted on the event page.

Most Chandelier Concert Series events are general admission with very limited seating options available.

You can visit the event page to learn more about any event that you’re interested in at the Kirby Center.

If you want an idea of where you’ll be sitting, check out our seating chart.

Seats on the right side of the theater have even numbers, while seats on the left have odd numbers. Seats in the center are sequential. Many theaters do this to make it easier for staff to find specific seats throughout the theater.

If the section on your ticket reads ORRC, ORR, MZZL, BLRC or BLR, that section has only even-numbered seats. So seats 102, 104, 106, and 108 would be sequential…

If the section on your ticket reads ORLC, ORL, MZZL, BLLC or BLL, that section only has odd-numbered seats, for example, seats 101, 103, 105, and 107.

Seats in the ORC or MZZC sections, which are in the center, go in order, as in, 101,102, 103, and 104.

Accessible seating is available for patrons who use wheelchairs, as well as patrons with difficulty seeing or hearing. Please contact our box office to purchase accessible seating.

The brass doors farthest to the right are button-operated for accessibility. Accessible bathrooms are located on the left of the main lobby, next to the main bar. Please note that visitors can only access the building’s mezzanine and balcony sections by stair. If you’re a patron with a hearing disability and you’d like an interpreter present at an upcoming show, please contact us as soon as possible, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Will call purchases are available at the Kirby Center box office two hours before a performance. The buyer must be the one to pick up Will Call orders, and they’ll need to have a valid photo ID ready.

The Chandelier Concert Series presents smaller, more intimate performances that take place under our beautiful chandelier just outside the theater. These events are usually standing room, general admission engagements. However, limited seating or ticketed seating options are sometimes available. If you’re interested in a Chandelier Concert Series event, please visit the event’s page to learn more about your options.
