To become Piston Cup champion, red race car Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) just needs to overcome a three-way tiebreaker race—and his own bad attitude. When his transport to the big race breaks down in Radiator Springs, Arizona, and Lightning damages the town’s main road, he’s sentenced to a community service project that’ll keep him there until his big race.
During Lightning’s impromptu stay, he’ll befriend locals and do some much-needed self-reflection, all while navigating the town’s bitter judge, Doc Hudson (Paul Newman). But, with his big moment looming, will Lightning prove he has what it takes to become champion?
