What’s an F.M. Kirby Center Season Series?

Some of the events at the F.M. Kirby Center are grouped into different series. Each one follows a different theme.

  • The Laux Young People’s Theater Series returns for another year of free performances for school-aged children. Each show begins at 10 a.m. and presents a fun, educational experience that lasts approximately one hour. Educators can contact the F.M. Kirby Center box office at 570-826-1100 to make reservations for 2024-25 performances.
  • If you enjoy smaller, more intimate events, our Chandelier Series is for you. Whether you’re looking for an engaging speaker or a critically acclaimed band, this year’s events offer a wide range of entertainment choices. Chandelier series events may feature limited seating. Please contact the F.M. Kirby Center box office with any questions.
  • With our Signature Series presented by Geisinger, we focus on community accessibility. This year’s series is multi-sensory, multicultural, and only $25 a ticket. See some of the most engaging shows touring the country today for the same price as a night at the movies.
  • Speaking of films, the building that houses the F.M. Kirby Center was originally an ornate movie theater that once acted as the flagship location for the M.E. Comerford theater chain. Our series of Classic Films at the Kirby continues that tradition.
  • The M&T Bank Family Series is an ongoing collection of performances perfect for a family outing. Look for the M&T Bank Family Series logo when planning your household’s next cultural experience!
  • The PNC Celebrity Series celebrates the best artists and entertainers in history. Past events in this series include Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons, Derek Hough: Symphony of Dance, and Ann Wilson of Heart.

Please note that the W. Curtis Montz Film Series will return in 2025. This series showcases recent triumphs in independent cinema and documentary-style storytelling.
